What to Bring What to Wear

The weather in the Caribbean at this time of year is perfect: 80's during the day, high 60's to 70's at night.

Your anticipated activities will also dictate what you'll need. For example, plan to take a morning jog onboard? Remember your running shoes.

There are two formal nights on the cruise. Typically, the cruise ship will discourage casual dress, although extremely formal dress is not required. Ladies can wear an evening dress or gown. Men can wear a suit or tuxedo.

Tuxedo rentals are available onboard through Floating Formals Inc. If you are planning to rent a tuxedo for the cruise, you must reserve your tuxedo at least 1 week before sailing by calling 800.833.5621. Rates are $75 for black tuxedo or white dinner jacket, $125 for both. Shoes are available for an additional $10. All rentals are for the entire week of the cruise, and will be delivered to and picked up from your cabin.

There will also be two theme parties: a 70's Disco Dance Party and Caribbean Reggae Night.

For 70's Disco: Think John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. If it flares out, glitters, shimmies, or is just plain old gaudy, it'll do.

For the Caribbean Party: Since we'll be in the Caribbean, it shouldn't be much of a stretch, but straw hats and grass skirts are always fun. And using natural materials like coconuts and palm leaves as cover-ups are encouraged but optional.

No matter what you bring (or forget), you won't be stranded. There is plenty of shopping available onboard the ship and on the islands.
